Job Description

Administrative Coordinator

Cincinnati, Ohio & Northern Kentucky

Full-Time Position - 40 Hours / Week

Join a team committed to expanding the region's natural surface trail network and fostering an outdoor culture in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We're seeking an Administrative Coordinator with a passion for trails and a talent for organization and collaboration to help us achieve our mission.

Compensation: $20-24 per hour depending on capabilities and experience. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision insurance and paid time off, as well as opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization.

Who we are: The Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance maintains 115+ miles of multi-use/natural surface trails for mountain bikers, hikers and trail runners. The CORA Board of Directors advocates and partners with local organizations to expand the region’s trail network by connecting the outdoor resources found in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Who we’re looking for: Someone who loves trails and developing an outdoor culture in our region. To be successful in this role, this individual will be proactive and demonstrate excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills, and will be capable of thriving in a hybrid work environment.

Key attributes:

  • At least 18 months of administrative experience; ideally in government organizations or non-profit organizations, or a bachelor's degree

  • Accountability, trustworthiness, plus a sense of ownership to do it right

  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Positive, pleasant, professional demeanor

  • Ability to manage projects

  • Collaboration skills

  • Attention to detail and quality work while having fun

  • Comfortable using various technology tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Slack, and willing to learn new ones as needed


Responsibilities:

As the Administrative Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Ideation and creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Checklists

  • Use of EveryAction and Mobilize Relation Management Software platforms to communicate with the community and keep track of donors, volunteers, and sponsors

  • Coordination, organization, and convening of committee meetings

  • Managing incoming CORA website communications and responses, as well as acting as a traffic manager for committees and internal communications

  • Assisting with letters and emails on behalf of the president and other staff

  • Assisting in convening trail steward group meetings and disseminating SOP information to enable lead trail stewards

  • Information and data gathering for grants

  • Providing polite and professional communication

  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner

  • Taking accurate minutes of meetings

In addition, you will also:

  • Create donor prospect list

  • Take part in events and volunteer opportunities that are often on evenings and/or weekends (would be counted as worked hours)

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with trail maintenance and outdoor recreation is a plus, but not required

  • Marketing/social media experience is strongly desired, but not required
